All our login, account and checkout pages are hosted on a secure server and protected by a GeoTrust QuickSSL Certificate. This means that your name & address details are encrypted as they are sent to us. This means your details are safe and cannot be intercepted by a third party. When you get to the checkout you will notice the presence of a padlock in the address bar of your browser. The padlock is a universal way of letting you know that the site you are on is safe and your details will be kept secure . |
All credit and debit card numbers are entered on the Sagepay (formerly known as Protx) secure server, one of the leading names in online payments. Once on the Sagepay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data held by Sagepay is extremely secure and they are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
We have introduced a feature called 3D Secure. 3D Secure is the technology behind Verified by Visa (VbV) and MasterCard SecureCode (MSC), the fraud screening initiative launched by the card schemes to provide a more secure method for authenticating the cardholder at the time of the transaction.
When you place an order through our website, you will be asked to register for Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode with your issuing bank if you have not already done so.
Once registered, you will be presented with a page from your issuing bank at the checkout stage to request that you enter a password. The bank will verify the password and the transaction will continue as normal.
You only need to register once for 3D Secure - the next time you place an order with any website using the 3D Secure technology you will be prompted to enter 3 randomly chosen digits from your password.
Once you are registered with 3D Secure it will be even harder for someone to fraudulently use your card details online.
